Office Policies

Cancellations, No Shows, and Late Arrivals

Cancellations:

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows the time slot to be offered to another client. Failure to notify within 24 hours will result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the full session, currently $150. It is important for you to understand that your insurance will not be responsible for any fees stemming from late cancellation and they are the sole responsibility of the patient.

No-shows:
No-shows, or failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice, will result in a full session fee, currently $150. It is important for you to understand that your insurance will not be responsible for any fees stemming from late cancellation and they are the sole responsibility of the patient. Repeated no-shows will lead to termination of services.

Late Arrival:
If you arrive late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time, and be billed as a full session. In the event that your particular insurance plan does not cover this, any difference up to the full session amount of $150 will be the sole responsibility of the patient.

Payment for Cancellation and No-show Fees:
It's important to note that cancellation and no-show fees are not covered by insurance. These fees are the patient's responsibility and must be paid out-of-pocket within 30 days. Any scheduled sessions may be canceled by the therapist until this fee has been paid by the patient.

Office Environment

Inclusive Practice:
This practice is committed to providing an inclusive and respectful environment. All clients will be addressed by their preferred name and pronouns.

Parking and Accessibility:

Ample parking is provided for all clients. The office is also designed to be handicap accessible, ensuring everyone can access services comfortably.

Respectful Conduct:

All clients are expected to maintain a respectful demeanor while in the office. Disruptive or offensive behavior could lead to termination of services.

Privacy Measures:

Ensuring privacy for all clients is a top priority. Within the limitations of the building, the office is set up to maintain discretion, with obscuring film coverings on the entrance glass and on all and office windows, and a noise-generating machine in the lobby. An air purifier is installed in the office for an improved and healthy environment, and to provide additional white noise.

Comfort and Amenities:

For your convenience, water, coffee, and tea are available during sessions. The office and waiting area are furnished with comfortable seating. The waiting area contains a selection of reading material. Restrooms are available in the building for client use.

Outdoor Sessions:

Weather permitting, and if both the therapist and client agree, therapy sessions can occasionally be conducted outdoors. The office park is situated next to a tranquil wooded area with a quiet sitting nook, ensuring privacy during sessions.

Please communicate any questions or concerns about these policies at any time. The aim is to provide a safe, comfortable, and professional environment for all clients.
